Narrative of David Thompson’s Travels added to website

For your reading pleasure, we have posted the J.B Tyrrell’s 1916 Champlain Society narrative of David Thompson’s travels west of the Rocky Mountains. Tyrrell was a geologist on staff with the Geological Survey of Canada who was mapping the area around 1883 and who was so impressed with the accuracy of David Thompson’s maps that he sought out, bought and copyrighted the original transcript.
