Introducing Lucas

This summer we are excited to welcome Lucas Fuertes as our 2022 Summer Education and Data Collection Assistant! 

Lucas is a third year student at UBC Vancouver, majoring in Geographical Science and specializing in Hydrology and Geomorphology. Originally from Calgary, Lucas and his family have a cabin on Columbia Lake, which helped foster his love for outdoor activities like golfing, archery, and kayaking, and also cultivated his passion for water management and environmental stewardship. He is eager to learn more about his field of study through his work with the CLSS, and looks forward to sharing his knowledge and passion with the community!

Lucas will be assisting with data collection and compilation for our water quality and quantity projects, further developing our educational programs, and providing outreach to the communities.
